Christian J. Meier was born in 1968 and holds a doctorate in physics. Since 2005 he has worked as a freelance journalist and book author. He writes popular science articles for newspapers and magazines as well as non-fiction, short stories, and novels. He is a passionate reader of science fiction, enjoying classics such as Philip K. Dick and Stanislaw Lem. His own works usually revolve around technological innovations that have fundamentally changed the fictional world in question. His novels “K.I. – Wer das Schicksal programmiert” and “Der Kandidat – Sie zielen auf dein Innerstes” were nominated for the German Science Fiction Award 2020 and 2022. Christian J. Meier lives in Groß-Umstadt, Hesse, on the edge of the Odenwald.
