Karen Nölle is a translator, editor and author. She translates fiction, primarily by women authors, from the English of various continents, conducts seminars on text work, is co-founder of the BücherFrauen Summer Academy, and as a freelance editor, edits translations from English, French, Dutch, Swedish, and Norwegian. From 2009 to 2019, she was editor of edition fünf at Verlag Silke Weniger. She is best known in the SF world for her translations of Ursula K. Le Guin’s works for FISCHER Tor.

At MetropolCon, she will talk about her translation of Ursula Le Guin’s Always Coming Home into German, together with editor Hannes Riffel, on Saturday, May 20 from 12 to 1 pm in Atelier 4.
