🇩🇪 Media designer image and sound
Jens Peter Hamacher initially worked for current affairs radio after completing his training. Since 2004, he has been a sound engineer/head media designer in the radio play production department of WDR. During this time, he has been involved in a variety of radio play and radio feature productions – from the classic “radio hour” to elaborately staged radio play series.
Since 2015, he has been able to gain a lot of experience with an immersive, expanded sound space through several productions in “3D sound for headphones,” which he incorporated into the editing and assembly of WDR’s current radio play podcast series Erdsee (Le Guin’s Earthsea).
Together with sound engineer Rike Wiebelitz, Jens Peter Hamacher will give insights into the production of this series on Thursday, May 18., in the cinema room (Kino).
