We are Eurocon!

Those of you who were there in 2023 know: We have big plans and want to bring people together, promote the exchange of ideas, provide a stage for utopias, and let the future shine in all its possible hues and facets. And this time, we are inviting all of Europe to Berlin!

A Eurocon means, for example, that the program will be mainly in English, but there will of course also be some German-language program items. The ESFS Awards will be presented. Fans and speakers will be joining us from all corners of the continent. More diversity, more inspiration, more joy, more sparks of genius! We think Europe as a concept, an ideal, and a reality should be celebrated: We want to hear the different perspectives from north and south, east and west. We want to discuss, present, synthesize. We want to emphasize what unites us. We want to fraternize and feel a sense of community. And we want to have a lot of fun in the process.

MetropolCon 2026 will take place from July 2nd to 5th at the silent green Kulturquartier. We will be the SFCD annual convention again, and the awarding of the Kurd Laßwitz Prize is also on the roster. The first two confirmed Guests of Honor are Aiki Mira and Becky Chambers. Much more to come.
