Here are our great cooperation partners!
PAN – Das Phantastik Autoren Netzwerk e.V.
Speculative fiction – Phantastik in German – is our discipline. Our authors represent quality, craft, and professionalism, but they are also united in their love and passion for the speculative literary genres, and in their willingness to speak up and campaign for our common interests. (translation of self-description by Claudia Rapp)
Otherland Book Shop
The Otherland, Berlin’s famous book store for science fiction, fantasy and horror, was founded in 1998 by Hannes Riffel and Birgit Herden under the name “UFO”. The name was changed in 2006, and they withdrew from the business in 2013. Since then it has been led by longtime staff members Jakob Schmidt, Wolfgang Tress and Simon Weinert. We offer a broad selection of literature in the genres of science fiction, fantasy and horror, in German and English, but also have small sections for younger readers as well as graphic novels and RPG materials, and lots of other stuff to delight the genre fan.
Science Fiction Club Germany
The Science Fiction Club Deutschland e.V., abbreviated SFCD, is the oldest SF club in Germany with the most members. It was founded in 1955 by Walter Ernsting (aka Clark Darlton) and Julian Parr, along with several other well-known personalities in the SF scene of the time. With the German Science Fiction Prize, the association annually awards the only endowed literary prize of this genre. You can find out more about the SFCD and the book rescue initiative here.
