The “underground” spaces may stay open longer – there will be a disco after all -, depending on staff availability and demand (these are the concrete hall, the cinema room, and the bar).
You can find the program at guide.metropolcon.eu. Last-minute program changes will be available at registration and will be displayed on the screen at the entrance as well as on the screens in the rooms.
There is also a combined program/souvenir booklet (available in print and digitally via QR code) that provides a complete overview of the program, including all rooms, days, times, and program items. However, for descriptions of the individual program items and information about the speakers, you’ll need to visit guide.metropolcon.eu.
In general, photography and filming is permitted, but please always ask first before taking photos or videos of a person or a group of people. (The right to one’s own image applies.) Photographing, filming, or otherwise recording individuals without their consent is harassment (see our Code of Conduct).
There will be an official convention photographer for Metropolcon/Eurocon 2026. This person can be identified by their badge/name tag indicating their role.
In general, a great deal of photography and filming takes place at conventions. We would like to strongly ask all attendees who take photos or videos to always obtain the consent of the person(s) concerned before taking pictures of small groups, individuals or close-up shots. This is in accordance with the requirements of our Code of Conduct.
There will be several opportunities during the convention to get autographs from our Guests of Honor.
Scheduled signing sessions will take place at the booth of our partner bookstore Otherland in the dealer’s room. The exact times will be announced shortly before the event. Books in both German and English will be available for purchase for signing, but members are of course also welcome to bring their own books or other memorabilia.
Linda Šejić and Stjepan Šejić, our Comic Guests of Honor, will also have their own booth in the Betonhalle exhibition area, where they are expected to spend much of their time talking with fans and signing items.
Generally speaking: If you ask nicely, there is often a good chance of getting an autograph outside the official signing sessions as well.
Of course! Go for it! In our Code of Conduct, we note that your cosplay or costumes should not be interpreted as implicit consent to contact or interaction.
However, we do not accept the display of costumes, clothing, accessories, jewelry, badges, symbols, signs, or other items that violate our Code of Conduct, nor do we accept the refusal to remove or cover such items (Germany has very strict laws prohibiting the display of symbols of unconstitutional organizations).
Yes, we are happy if you would like to get involved in Metropolcon/Eurocon 2026 in Berlin. The convention is organized by fans for fans and is run by unpaid organizers and volunteers.
If you would like to help, please send us an email at volunteers [at] metropolcon.eu. We will get back to you and discuss where and how you can best contribute with your skills and interests.
Cell service in the underground rooms of the “Betonhalle” is poor to nonexistent. However, the Wi-Fi is excellent, and the password is posted everywhere.
For Metropolcon/Eurocon 2026, you purchase a so-called “Membership” to become part of our international community.
As is common for international conventions by fans for fans, you don’t purchase a ticket for a Eurocon, but a MEMBERSHIP. You become part of a community that makes the event possible and fills it with life, meaning, and content – even if only for a few days. After Eurocon, you’ll go home inspired and tired, let what you’ve experienced sink in, read newly acquired books and hang cool illustrations on the wall … or forget most of it again. For many members of such a pan-European gathering, however, a lot more remains: New friendships and perspectives, different points of view, book recommendations for years to come, a rekindled desire to travel, perhaps even new appreciation and gratitude for being part of the European project …
At Eurocon, people with similar interests and numerous differences come together. We are united by our enthusiasm for science fiction, fantasy, and horror. An interest in science, backgrounds, explanations. Curiosity. The desire for exchange, understanding, togetherness.
All this is also expressed in the term “Membership.” Those who come to Eurocon become part of a community. Everyone is a member; nobody gets left out. Let’s play with the term for a moment: We spend a few days on this fascinating ship (whether it’s an SF spaceship, a steampunk airship, a horror ghost ship, or an elven-winged fairytale ship) and sail together across the seas of our imagination. A colorful, multinational crew that makes this very special journey possible. Will you come aboard?
You can get your Membership (= used internationally for Ticket in fandom) for Metropolcon/Eurocon 2026 online.
If we aren’t full, you can still buy your membership or day pass when you arrive. We will accept card payments (via SumUp) and cash at the door. You will also be able to buy your membership online, the same way you do when you buy it in advance.
Yes, there are now day passes available.

Proof of eligibility must be provided at the entrance with appropriate identification. For children under 12 accompanied by a parent or guardian, the “Child” option is available. You can find the exact rates here on our website.
You don’t need to print out your ticket. You can simply show your digital ticket on your smartphone. Please have the file with your ticket code ready so we can verify the code at the entrance.
According to the German Youth Protection Act, minors aged 16 and older may attend a cultural event on their own; those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (or an accompanying adult). The Youth Protection Act applies to all event items.
The purchase of memberships for Metropolcon/Eurocon 2026 is binding; no refunds will be issued. However, if you would like to transfer your membership to another person, please contact us and we will reissue it in the new name. To do so, please contact membership [at] metropolcon.eu.
To request press accreditation, please contact vorstand [at] metropolcon.eu. We require an assignment or confirmation from the media outlet you write or photograph for, as well as your plan for pre-event coverage. You can find the sign-up page for the press mailing list/newsletter here.

There are only five accessible parking spaces directly at the silent green Kulturquartier. The nearest parking garage is at Pankstr. 29 (about a 12-minute walk). There are residential and parking zones in the area surrounding the silent green Kulturquartier. Parking spaces are often hard to find here, and parking is metered on many streets (about 3 euros per hour).
You can park your car at a Park & Ride lot, e.g., at the Jungfernheide station (city train to Wedding, approx. 10 minutes) or Alt-Tegel station (subway U6 to Wedding, approx. 20 minutes). Another option is the Südkreuz P1 parking deck right at the Südkreuz station (city train to Wedding).
We want to enable as many people as possible to attend Metropolcon/Eurocon 2026. Accessibility in all its forms is important to us. If you need assistance in any area (mobility, hearing or visual impairment, neurodiversity, etc.), please contact us directly: corina.marin.hinz [at] metropolcon.eu
Luckily, much of Berlin’s public transportation is accessible. In particular, buses are generally equipped with low boarding and ramps, and a large number of subway, S-Bahn, and tram stations have elevators or ramps. Nevertheless, accessibility is not yet fully implemented everywhere. At some stations, elevators may be missing, out of service, or require detours. Older train stations are sometimes not yet fully accessible. The Berlin Transport Authority (BVG) provides information on accessibility via their homepage https://www.bvg.de/en/service-and-support/barrier-free-travel

However, this room is intended solely for suitcases and luggage. When you drop off your suitcase, you will receive a slip for later pickup; please take good care of it.

In the event of other emergencies (imminent danger due to threats, violence, assaults, thefts, etc.), you can reach the police at 110.
Berlin is generally considered a safe city for visitors, especially in central and well-frequented areas. As in other major cities, petty theft such as pickpocketing can occasionally occur in crowded places. It is therefore recommended to keep an eye on personal belongings. It is advisable to avoid being out late alone at night.
In case of an emergency, the European emergency number 112 or the police at 110 can be contacted.
If you are visiting Germany, including Berlin, you may need an electricity adapter to use your electronic devices.
Germany uses Type C and Type F plugs, which have two round pins. The standard voltage is 230 volts, and the frequency is 50 Hz. If your device has a different plug type, you will need a plug adapter to fit German outlets.
Many modern electronics such as laptop chargers, phone chargers, and camera chargers support a voltage range of 100–240 V. If your device lists this range on the power adapter, you only need a plug adapter, not a voltage converter. However, if your device is designed only for 110–120 V (common in countries like the United States or Canada), you will need a voltage converter in addition to a plug adapter to avoid damaging your device.
In Germany, both cash and card payments are commonly used. Many shops, restaurants, and vendors accept debit and credit cards, while smaller businesses often accept cash only.
It is advisable to carry some cash (Euros), especially for small purchases, street vendors (your currywurst and döner), or markets. Smaller restaurants or snack places in particular often do not accept credit cards, and this may also apply to vendors in the Dealer’s Room.
ATMs are widely available (e.g. at a branch of Berliner Sparkasse, Müllerstraße 156–157, 13353 Berlin, approx. 5–7 minutes walking distance) and usually accept international cards (please note that fees may apply).
Contactless payments and mobile payment methods (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay) are becoming increasingly common, but may not be available everywhere depending on the vendor.
In Berlin, it is very easy to find suitable food options for special dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, or food allergies. Likewise, many shops and food places offer halal and/or kosher food. The city is highly international, and many restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets offer appropriate alternatives. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are standard in many places and are usually clearly labeled. Supermarkets also offer a wide range of corresponding products.
However, caution is advised in the case of food allergies, as not all ingredients are always fully listed. It is therefore recommended to actively ask about ingredients when in doubt.
Yes, tap water in Berlin is safe to drink. It meets high quality standards and can be consumed directly from the faucet without hesitation.
However, not all water sources in public spaces are drinkable. Decorative fountains or similar water installations are generally not intended for drinking and should be avoided unless they are explicitly marked as drinking water (“Trinkwasser”).
